What Does This Mean?
This means that as of October 14, 2025 for Windows 10 and October 13, 2026 for Server 2022 Microsoft is no longer going to actively provide security fixes when they are discovered and this may open you up to any number of attacks, including identity theft, ransomware, botnets, or other security and privacy issues. Additionally, If you are part of an organization where HIPAA or other compliance laws apply, a computer no longer capable of receiving security updates would not be seen as a compliant way to access or handle sensitive data.
