Consultants improve high-tech hires
New service helps HR departments choose the best technology candidates

Coconut Creek, FL, February 26, 2006 – A new service helps companies hire technical staff, solving a major challenge of human resources departments outside the technology industry. BMK Media began HR consulting services after its on-site computer repair division encountered a huge demand. “We were constantly tapped by companies who needed help hiring technical staff,” said Bill Kinirons, founder and CEO of BMK Media.

To hire the right technical staff, human resources departments must overcome two major hurdles. First, a company must have a correct assessment of their technical needs. Second, they must correctly assess candidates’ skills and make sure they fit with their needs. For those not technically savvy, this can be an impossible task, leading to high employee turnover, and mistakes that hinder production and drive technical outsourcing costs through the roof. To avoid these high costs, companies are lining up for consulting. “Since it’s unveiling, our consultant service has been booked solid,” Kinirons said.

BMK Media consulting is a two-phase plan to conquer both hurdles. “We start by determining exactly what a company needs. Then we define the optimum candidate and help the existing HR department sift through possible candidates and hire the one they need. We help train interviewers on the pertinent questions they should be asking, and, more importantly, the answers they need to hear,” Kinirons said.

And that’s not all. It seems that some companies would rather leave the entire hiring process to technical experts. “We’ve had several companies bring us in to conduct the entire process- from candidate selection, to interviewing, to final hiring decision. Some smaller companies who don’t have interviewers on staff prefer this method. So do some larger companies, who would rather free up their HR resources to perform in their area of specialty,” said Kinirons.
